About ZAMSURECO-I

ImageZAMSURECO-I was established on August 25, 1972, marking the beginning of an historic lifestyle change among the residents of Zamboanga del Sur, as electricity was introduced for the first time in this part of the country.
ZAMSURECO-1, short for Zamboanga del Sur I Electric Cooperative, was incorporated for the purpose of supplying, promoting and encouraging the fullest use of electric service to its area coverage in Zamboanga del Sur.
For years, the Cooperative has been powered by the noble mission of bringing light to every  home in every barangay in Zamboanga del Sur, espousing the Coop's credo, "Power for Progress".
The Coop has been a champion of rural electrification and countryside development, serving the most  remote communities and far-flung barangays, puroks and sitios that private and  multinational companies find too far to service and unviable to venture into.
Now, more than 30 years later, ZAMSURECO-I serves 69,857 connections in Pagadian City and 24 municipalities in Zamboanga del Sur, with 25,200 kilometers of lines energized.   Image
The Cooperative has headquarters at J. S. Alano St., Pagadian City with area offices in Switch, Ramon Magsaysay and San Miguel.
On 21 June 2006, Mr. Jose Raul A. Saniel was appointed General Manager, succeeding Ms.  Decca O. Judilla (1994 -2006), who was preceded by the pioneer  manager and the "Father  of  ZAMSURECO-I", Mr. Bonifacio B. Lagura (1975-1994).
